Joint research enables small and medium-sized enterprises to carry out research projects which they are unable to carry out on their own for reasons of capacity alone. The professional association therefore initiates and coordinates pre-competitive research projects that overcome resource barriers and strengthen the competitiveness of member companies vis-à-vis large industry and international groups of companies.
In the numerous projects of recent years, topics such as "flow simulation", "life cycle costs" and "electronic nameplate" have been dealt with in cooperation with renowned research institutions.
